O'Sister is Dallas Green's interpretation of depression and mental illness, Sister is used as a general term as in sister of general society. The struggle to know and understand what really happens and the way the victums of mental illness operate is endless so it's amazing the way Dallas creates a true and in depth look on the topic, when mental illness or depression is present in your life or around you this song is a perfect way to let you know your not alone but there are many dealing with the direct and indirect effects of mental illness. Some of his other songs (which are amazing) have a different light shed on the topic where it gets better with time, theres hope, and the bright side of things like the girl, save your scissors, sensible heart, and we found each other in the dark. He is a profound artist that paints a picture much like an author does, which allows our minds to escape from real life.
