Clutch: 10001110101 Meaning
10001110101 Lyrics
Long halls of science and all the lunatics committed there.
Robot Lords of Tokyo, SMILE TASTE KITTENS
Did you not know that the royal hunting grounds are always forbidden?
Are you rolling...
-
So far I got Robot Lords of Tokyo and Temple of The Syrinx are both bands that existed prior to the release of this song. The rest of it is jibberish.

10001110101 has the perfect amount of syllables to match the meter of the chorus. It's all poetic really. It's more about rhythm than it is about science. Try singing the chorus omitting or adding a one or a zero. It sounds off if you try it that way.

Temple of Syrinx is a Rush song. It's the center piece and sonic zenith of the 2112 album. Most would say Rush's greatest album. I'm pretty sure Clutch are fans of Rush. I'm also pretty sure that "Temple of Syrinx having the bake sale of the year" is a joking homage.
Way too much thought on something that's just supposed to rock out and be fun.
"Chinese boxes hold their secrets well, how many are there, you can never tell" -
Why do people come to a website called Lyric INTERPRETATIONS dot com and bash people for trying to interpret a song? Coming here just to make fun of them is wasting just as much time as those people trying to figure out what it means.
-
Ive got it you dumb asses if you stack the numbers on top of one another it is a series of ones and zeros that are stacked and now it is a really tall number that means the same as it did before....

Based on ASCII Character Encoding 10001110101 can be read as 1000-11-10101 which breaks down into backspace (1000), End of text (11), and Negative Acknowledgement (10101). Reading this together you get backup and shut up before you get a negative response.

The binary in this song is completely blank. To have a hidden meaning in this song that would have an unravelable mystery easy enough for listeners would have to be considerably long. "10001110101" is not long enough. It would hardly be long enough for the letters A,B,C,D. And if there was a hidden meaning why would we know about it. There are people monitoring this conversation right now as we comment stupidly on what it might be. If there was a hidden message Clutch would be tried and jailed and the top would know about it. Best get on with life. And this song is not too bad.
-
It means nothing. Any one person is going to know something more than someone else apply it to the code thus the reason for so many results just give up and listen to the song, Which is pretty cool by the way.

I like the 15th one down from the top on page 3 and 12th on page 2, because they made me lol. but I also like the 17th one down on page 2, saying about the "long, ancient, sumerian text" about how prophets break bread. but seriously though, it wasn't supposed to mean anything, as Clutch said.
so shut uuuup, everybody. -
There are various reasons why author might say the number is meaningless. They might have had other info to highlight in that interview, it could be personal, too complicated, or he might just think it's a little silly.
But to think he could pull lyrics right out the air without stimulus seems less likely to me than any of the wildest theory's suggested here. -
Well, something for all of the geeks to think about...it was repeated 6x during the song so that works out to be:
100011101011000111010110001110101100011101011000111010110001110101
Now...tell us what that means... -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Well in places where meth is bad using the CD. It's listed on the disc as 100,011,10101 this is binary for 4, 3 and 21. and on the Periodic table all them numbers match up to be used for meth in one way or another but then agin like the band says it means nothing and people are just nuts for sying things like this

It is the number of seconds until the next terrorist attack.
