Coldplay: Midnight Meaning
Song Released: 2014
Midnight Lyrics
In the swirling of the storm
When I'm rolling with the punches and hope is gone
Leave a light a light on
Millions of miles from home
In the swirling swimming on
When I'm rolling with the thunder
But bleed...

Someone moving on from a relationship they need to leave behind and finally have the strength to, and know they need to so do but need the other person to still leave a light on and let them know it’s safe to always come back home if they don’t make it through their trying
-
This is a song about a few people whom have experienced a bad time in their life and are under reacting about it and pretending it didn't happen. They are not acknowledging their feelings and are ignoring them. They are shutting people out if they want to talk about it. A person is trying to make them understand how bad it was and that they need to feel that deep sorrow so that they can overcome their saddness.
