   I think this song is showing a couple. It is based on a man reminiscing about his time with a girl on the "Strawberry Swing". Saying things such as "without you I just slide away" and "cold, cold water bring me round" implies that he is currently away from her, and he wishes he was with her now when he says "every moment was so precious...wouldn't wanna waste the feeling". I think it is love between two people. Coldplay is great in making songs capable of having multiple meanings, but I think this interpretation is one of the most concrete.

   I think it's about being young, and your first crush or girlfriend/boyfriend and looking back on childhood. It's really nostalgic and happy "Now my feet won't touch the ground" "It's such a perfect day"

   This song is very complex in terms of getting a fixed meaning but,however,the clear picture we can all agree on is that the two lovers were once happily in love and later their love was no more.It seems clear for one to think that lady passed on and left the man in missery.The last verse clarifies this point by adding that 'the sky could be blue,could be grey,without you it's a waste of time'.The words 'without you' implies that the lady died and now the man finds no joy in the strawberry swing.

   This is definitely about a couple but seems like two people swimming upstream in life.The lyrics Everybody was for fighting/ don't you wanna curve away in addition to the general indifference toward life indicate a rebellious almost teen-like attitude.
