Coldplay: Till Kingdom Come Meaning
Till Kingdom Come Lyrics
I feel my time, my time has come.
Let me in, unlock the door.
I've never felt this way before.
The wheels just keep on turning,
The drummer begins to drum,
I don't know which way I'm going,
I don't know...

#1 top rated interpretation:Its a song about a love that, for various life circumstance, cannot be actualized. It is real, is it strong, and it is eternal; but it must wait. And the only thing that can free them from this prison of not being together is reciprocating their longing by acknowledging that they will wait for each other "til kingdom come".

It sounds as if he is preparing himself spiritually for the afterlife. Sounds like he doesn't know if he is going to heaven or hell.

I like to think about this song as a song that speaks about a wedding and the wedding vows to the lady. He tells her to let him in. He tells her how he's waited all these years for her. And how he wants her to be the most understanding partner. It says, no matter how many imperfections she has/will have, he will always see the beauty in it. He's madly in love with her. The part in the song about waiting for him speaks about if he ever messes up in future, he hopes she'll understand and wait for him, be patient with him. And he'll do the same also til' kingdom come. Its a beautiful song. And I'll love to sing it to my bride on my wedding day. :)

That someone has gotten into trouble legally or mentally and is trying to get their life back on track with the help of the people who love them. They might know that this persons life could never be the same hut they are being forgiving and steady anyway because that is how the person needs them to be.
