Cradle Of Filth: Nymphetamine Meaning
Nymphetamine Lyrics
Midsummer, I waved
A "V" of black swans
On with hope to the grave
And though Red September
With skies fire-paved
I begged you appear
Like a thorn for the holy ones
Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced when...

ok, let me get this straight, all of the guys saying it is about nymphos can't use proper grammar OR even close to correct spelling, yet all of the people who distinguished the base word 'nymph' from 'nympho' all seem somewhat educated..., where to go with this one?
i agree with the interpretations referring to nymphetamine being a drug that he is hopelessly addicted to, and feels completely crushed when he is forced to go without. -
This story is about a girl dying and a guy willing to do anything to save her. He says he wants to do everything he can to fix what she has done wrong. And appreciate what she does right. But she's still fading out slowly. And when she is finally gone at first he wants to get her out of his mind bu then just wishes she was still here with her forever and always.

Well, yeah the story is viable (in my opinion), but your thinking of nymphomaniac. Where as this is a mix of that (or just nymph, which is just a beautiful young women, normally a spirit in myth) and amphetamine, getting nymphetamine. Hence the drug and addiction references in the interpretations.

Guys, this song is basically about sex..Nymphetamine is a way they refer to a gerl who satisfy his sexual needs when he is bored/hurt, the girl part"I could always find the right slot for your sacred key"what is the sacred key suppose to mean if its not a dick.Listen to overdose n you will know. The chorus part is juz trying to say, no matter how hurt or deep the pain is,it is discoloured in tunnel vision, nonebetter nymphetamine..Think about it..

If you go to urbandictionary.com you get this as the definition for nymphetamine:
nymphetamine: an addiction to a woman.
Ok the song (as I've been told and I agree), is about a guy who is addicted to a girl.In his eyes she is the epitome of perfection and he lusts for her.According to my understanding of the lyrics, in short, he's addicted to taking her,to having her,to being with her. "she was all three wishes, sex sex sex";"sick and weak from my condition, this lust this vampiric addiction, to her alone in full submission. My nymphetamine girl". Anyways, the plot to me seems like that he was completely addicted to her, and in love. She leaves him so he kills hisself.("I swore to teh roazor that never enchained would your dark nails of faith be pushed through my veins again") she realises her mistake and mourns him, remembers him and tries to bring him back. ( "all through red september with skies fire payed,i begged you appeard like a thorn for the holy ones"). So in short, the song is about them both remembering the time they spent, the pain he felt, and his nymphetamine girl. If anyone cares to try and interpret the video post it, because it seems like it could mean a lot of different things. -

Guys I think that this one is about nymphos you know, maybe it came from the "nymphomaniac," which means a girl has execessive sexual desire and "etamine," or a drug and the guy was obsessed with this nympho and then she left maybe the girl part there saying:
" I could always find the right slot for your sacred key,"
maybe the slot there referred there is the part of the woman where you could insert a man's "thing"
I thought of this interpretation because most of Craddle of Filth's songs are about lustfullness. Check out Nypmhetamine(overdose). -
Nothing to do with nymphos, people. This has to do with nymphs. A nymph is a beautiful woman who is like a spirit- for this reason she is untouchable. Etamine is an addictive drug. So basically if you use your loafs this guy is addicted 2 this beautiful girl, he falls in love with her after a period of time, but he can't have her because she's untouchable- a nymph. I hope you find this useful, I don't think it has anything to do with breaking up or nymphos though

It makes a lot of sense if you look at it from a logical point of view. Nymph = a myhtological creature/ a beautiful YOUNG woman. Etamine- an addiction/addicting. So what this song seems to say is this guy is talking about his beautiful young love who, like an addiction is prone to do, dropped him to his knees and left him stranded in his withdrawl which in turn ruined him, and caused him massive amounts of pain and smoldering emotions.
-
This song is about a guy and a girl. The girl happens to be a nympho and the guy LOVES it. Then she leaves and he falls apart. She's his drug and he has become addicted. Thus the name Nymphet (as in nymphette)-amine(drug).
