It's about the trouble one can get into when they're young can't find a job and sign up for the military.
The singer is contemplating a career choice and finds the military attractive: one can travel the world to places like Johannesburg and Palestine and Hong Kong with other boys from "the Thames and the Mersey" (UK).
All you have to do is play their little game of killing a "white n*" once in awhile. It's not that hard... and I'm bored and I'd rather be anywhere else than where I am right now. I want to get out and do something!
