Moody Blue Lyrics

Songwriters: James, Mark

Well, it's hard to be a gambler
Bettin' on the number
That changes ev'ry time
Well, you think you're gonna win
Think she's givin' in
A stranger's all you find

Presley's final album. My personal favourite song Way down sums up late 70s sound. Way down was his last song and still the best for me.

I think moody blue is about a women who has a disorder called Dissociative Identity Disorder. Its like you have multiple personalities. One is your angry side and your happy joyful part any your sad part. Its rare but i think this song is talking about a women who is like that. As a line in the song”when Monday come shes Tuesday when Tuesday come shes Wednesday.” Meaning she changes.

Moody Blue is a person. In this case the individual is a woman. Sounds like she’s possibly Bipolar to me. Her personality comes and goes.

She’s moody/manic highs and lows. The lows are where Blue comes in. Some one whose got the blues. Down on their luck so to speak. Depressed, can’t be reached.

Moody Blue….tell me am I getting through. The singer is trying to reach the individual hiding behind Moody Blue

Moody Blue is the final studio album by Elvis Presley. The album was a mixture of live and studio work, and included the four tracks from Presley's final studio recording sessions in October 1976 and two tracks leftover from the previous Graceland session in February 1976. Moody Blue was a previously published hit song recorded at the earlier Graceland session and held over for this album. Also recorded at the February session was She Thinks I Still Care. Way Down became a hit after Presley's death less than one month after this album's publication.
