This song is both morbid and inspiring. I think it's her encouraging people to feel and follow they're feelings, because death could come any time and then you'd've lost the chance.

I think this verse means that Amy was wandering aimlessly, but stumbled upon a loved one's grave, but didn't know how she got there. So she brushed off the face of it, and read the name, but felt that person's prescence. Then she remembers why she was there.(Pretty self explanatory)

Basically, if you follow yourself and not other people, you don't have to dream about a better life, and if you follow your heart, you come to the end of the dream, putting you back in the real world, ready.
