Every Avenue: Tell Me I'm a Wreck Meaning
Tell Me I'm a Wreck Lyrics
-
The songs about the end of a romantic relationship. One person saw the breakup coming and wanted it. The other did not. The one that wanted the breakup feels bad for hurting his/her partner, but wants to end the relationship as a good thing and move on. The other partner still has hope they will get back together because the other partner thinks they know the dumper and that they are meant to be, which prompts the dumper to ask why the dumped would want to even get back together because if he/she knew the dumper as well as they claim, they would easily see there is no future

The song stumbles mostly on how relationships really were and how the truth eventually turned a corner for both people when even though you loved them they kept messing your head around and how your finally moving on when she/he wants you to stay when you clearly wouldn't bring yourself back to the same position you weren't happy with.
