Fall Out Boy: A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More Touch Me Meaning
Song Released: 2006
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More Touch Me Lyrics
Droppin, "I'm sorry", like you're still around
And I know you dressed up
"hey kid, you'll never live this down"
You're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just a boy who's using too many...
-
This is obviously a relationship song (duh!) I personally think that it is about a boy who cheated on his girlfriend (I'm just a boy whos had to many chances) P.S. Most every fall out boy music video I've seen hasn't gone with the song, like at all. I.e. Sugar were going down, and The take over the breaks over. P.S.S. I love the music video for this song. Pete Wentz is so hot as a vampire! (i'm a girl)
-
I was watching the making of this video and Pete was talking about what the meaning of it was. He said 'It's a song about making out'.
-
It is about the books Twilight!! How do I know? Pete said it at the concert!
-
The original title was a little less Molly Ringwald a little more Samantha Fox.
-
I think this is about a girl out of a guys league but she likes him regardless and wishes he would ask her out. He doesn't because he is possibly too nervous or some reason. He waits too long and she basically tells him to "drop dead". He instantly regrets his haste and tries his best in vein to get her back "sleeping on your folks porch again"
-
I believe the song to be about a couple, not hard.
"I confess, I messed up
Droppin, "I'm sorry", like you're still around"
The guy in the relationship screwed up, did something wrong or whatever and he is trying to get back with her, but she moved on and I think has a new boyfriend.
And I know you dressed up
"hey kid, you'll never live this down"
Seems like whatever happened happened at a formal event and that makes him feel worse
You're just the girl all the boys want to dance with
And I'm just a boy who's had too many chances
She is popular and hot and he has screwed up before
I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"
he tries to be close to her and win her back by sleeping on her porch, all he can think about is the breakup day
I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
he doesn't like her for ending it and not giving him another chance
So say, "What are you waiting for? Kiss her! Kiss her!"
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late
he wants her to accept the apology he also is showing that he is ready to make change to please her by setting his clocks early
Write me off, give up on me
'Cause darling what did you expect
I'm just off a lost cause
A long shot, don't even take this bet
he is realizing that he sucks and he was not a good boyfriend and agrees now that it is okay for her to want to leave but he wants another chance
You can make all the moves, you can aim all the spotlights
Get all the sighs and the moans just right
to him she is the best and he is probably in love with her from the obsession over her supposed perfection
Always on (always on)
You said you'd keep me honest
Always on (always on)
But I won't call you on it
Always on (always on)
in here we find out finally what he did wrong,
he cheated on her and he has cheated on previous girlfriends
she said that she could change him but he cheated anyways and now he wants her because he realizes he is in love -
I'll accept you for you but that doesn't mean I have to agree with the things you do. A mutual agreement.

Ok FOB is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite songs. I never really understood it until I went out with this girl in ninth grade (last year) and I obsessed over her. She was awful to me and I was always apologizing but I never thought she was wrong so I let it go, which is what I think the message of the song is
-
I think the songs about two people in a fight
(I don't blame you, for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it)
He kinda wants to get back together (Kiss her)and feels bad (sitting on your front porch again dreaming, she said x3 why don't you just drop dead)
but she's too dramatic and won't get down to business (the title) -
Well, if you've ever seen 16 candles it's about a girl named Samantha Baker who wasn't exactly popular but she wasn't geeky and she wanted to date this guy Jake Ryan who just happened to be the popularist guy in the school, unfortunately the geekiest guy in school liked HER. Her birthday went like crap because nobody in her house remembered, but she finally got him for her b-day. Basically I think this song is about a person just like Samantha or even the geeky guy. They like this one person soooo much but no matter what they do they can't escape the peer pressure, the taunts, the "oh you'll never get him" or the "geeks," "nerds," or whatever other names they had to endure. They like this person so much they don't want to let the pressure get to them and give up on going for that person, but it's really hard because they are afraid the person'll lose interest in them or...they will run out of time. They are afraid that the experience will change them, and the way they view themselves and others.

The song name, A Little Less Sixteen Candles A Little More "Touch Me" is basically saying enough with the romantic bullshit lets have sex and doesn't tie in with the song, really.
-
You people are ridiculous and naive. It is about Pete who likes this girl and she likes him back, nothing about her being popular or anything about vampires or "dead horses". geeze. He likes the girl and he wants to sleep with her, but she won't because she wants to wait till she's sixteen. He hates that and tries to pressure her, so they aren't going out anymore, he's trying to get her back but she won't have a bar of it. Hence the title, "a little less sixteen candles" and the rest of it is a from a song by Samantha Fox that is like about sex and stuff or something, and and little more "touch me" or "sex" and that why "touch me is in quotes. duh
-
I honestly think that this song is about Peter Wentz cheating on some girl, and she catches him... and she says "What are you waiting for, kiss her, kiss her" and the whole reason why he did that was because he didn't love the girl. She did things that he liked, but she didn't mean anything to him.
-
The first part of the title (A Little Less Sixteen Candles) is taken from a movie and so is the second (I've JUST seen those movies...and those names JUST slipped outta my head)
The song talks about two kind of girls :1. The kind you really love and 2.the kind you want to sleep with.
The girl he loves found out things about him and doesn't forgive him eventhough he's REALLY sorry. Also, when she finds out she talls him to 'drop dead' and its just like her not to give second chances. He hates that.
Now he does not try to force her or win her by force.
But I'm not very sure about what he meant by- "I've set my clocks early cause I know I'm always late"..maybe that he's going to try again and better.
The Vampires in the video and be realted to the different types of cliques...just like there are different kinds of vampires.So.Yeah. -
I know for sure that this is the meaning of the song:
It is about a guy who has TWO girlfriends. One he wants to start a life with, and the second one, he likes to have fun and have sex with. So one of them finds out and he really wants her back, hence the "Droppin' "Im sorry" Like your still around. &
I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"
and for the rest of the song... I don't know.
