Fall Out Boy: G.I.N.A.S.F.S. Meaning
G.I.N.A.S.F.S. Lyrics
So, let me see your moves
Let me see your moves
Lips pressed close to mine
True blue
But the prince of any failing empire knows that
Everybody wants,
Everybody wants
To drive on through the...

Lol I thought it just meant how everyone uses the word "gay" instead of shitty like this:
printer: hey paper, wanna go out for lunch later?
paper: nah sorry busy, got a lot of stuff to do
printer: oh that's gay, maybe another time -
''I've loved everything about you that hurts so let me see your moves let me see your moves'. I think this is one of the most simple FOB songs. It's about someone who loves someone that's all wrong for him or causes him pain or something negative but he either likes it or doesn't care.

check out the film "closer"..with Jude Law and you will find that this song, has many quotes from the film.. along with the song "thxs fr the mmrs".
-
'i love everything that hurts'
is said by clive owen, who plays 'Larry' in the movie 'closer', and the woman who he says it to says to him ' lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off, but its better if you do'
- the first thing larry says is in this song, and the bits that the girl says are name of panic at the disco's songs?
i don't really know if there is a connection between the two, if you havent seen it you should watch it on this internet site called watch-movies or something.
i'm sorry if this is confusing, i'm stupid loll (: -
I think it's about a guy who can't seem to let go of his ex. "Some nights it gets so bad I almost pick up the phone..." Maybe he wants to call her and ask her to take him back but knows that she's possibly moved on and no longer interested in him. "I sleep with your old shirts and walk through this house in your shoes, I know it's strange, it's a strange way of saying that I know I'm supposed to love you." Again with the not being able to let go. He's trying to prove how he loves her but he has a different way of showing it.
"Threw caution to the wind
But, I've got a lousy arm
And I've traced your shadows on the wall
Now I kiss them
Whenever I'm down,
Whenever I'm down"
Maybe he took a risk with her but it didn't work out exactly. Now he can remember every area of his house she's been in and he misses it. He kisses those area's to remember how she was.
"Born under a bad sign
You saved my life
That night on the roof of your hotel
Cross my heart and hope to die
Splinter from the headboard in my eye
Photo-proofed kisses I remember so well"
He was born under unfortunate and unfair circumstances but the girl saved him on the roof of her hotel. All he can remember is her kisses.
somebody typed this but I think than 1 theyre rite 2 he tried to kill himself but....well yeah.....You saved my life
That night on the roof of your hotel.............she saved him before he jumped..............3 traced her shadows as a desperate attempt to keep something remotely close to her.........LOVE THIS SONG! I mean common its a strange way of sayingg I kno I'm supposed to love you, I'm supposed to love you whoaohoh...lol -
Hey even if he is married...I said once that he still thinks that it's not bad to kiss with men...the source of this is wikipedia..there is written that Pete admitted that he has kissed men but he never had sex with them..because he is not a penis fan

"I think its like how guys share rooms and like the dude shares a room with his best friend and when he leaves he thinks he likes him and misses him a lot and walks around in his clothes and stuff. It's probably wrong but it makes sense because the title is gay is not a synonym for shitty. And he says it's strange that he loves him so he's kinda weirded out and stuff. And I think he's turning gay because it says trade baby blues (girls) for wide eyed browns (guys)."
AGREED. This is EXACTLY what the song is about. -
I really don't know if I'm even close, but I'll post anyway.
I think that the narrator's girlfriend died. This is hinted at with the lines: "I sleep with your old shirts and walk through this house in your shoes" It may be that she just broke up with him or whatever, but what kind of girl lets her ex keep her old shirts? But, it may not even be a girl. The title is Gay Is Not A Synonym For Sh***Y. It may also be a guy because, logically, could a guy really fit into a girl's shoes? For that matter, her shirt? I don't know, but, at any rate, he really is missing her/him, and he really wants him/her back. But, he can't because [in my opinion] he/she's dead. I think this person is dead because "Some nights it gets so bad, I almost pick up the phone". Maybe he really, really wants to call this person, but its useless. He/She's gone. For good.
That is just my interpretation. Feel free to correct me or add on. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Well I'm not very sure how this would help or contradict your interpretation, but the song title means : Gay Is Not A Synonym For Sh*tty.
