From First to Last: Note To Self Meaning
Note To Self Lyrics
Two roads... split off from here,
and my life goes running in opposite directions.
Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be.
I wanted to be that breath of fresh air,
When everything smelled so insincere.
But this...
-
I think that this song is a little deeper than that. I was in a position and this song keept popping into my head.i think that sonny is talking about how he is caught between two choices hence "two roads split off from hear and my life goes running in opposite directions" I think he wants to go both ways but he knows he cant. also I think this song is about betrayl. I think that "exaggerating the barrier between who I am and who I want to be" means that he wants to be one thing but there is smonthing holding him down and he can't change, and if he does change, he changes too late. "note to self I miss you teriably, this is what we call a tragedy come back to me back to me (to me)" I think this could mean that one he is talking to himself and how he wants to change or two that he misses someone that left because he made the wrongd choice, going back to the openinging lyrics.
-
He is losing someone....His self. Hence the NOTE TO SELF. I think he misses who he was before the stardum hit. He just wants to be who he once was.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I Think that this means that you've changed and you want to be yourself again 'Note to self: I miss you terribly. This is what we call a tragedie, Come back to me' And that your life is wondering off in too many different directions. 'My life goes running in opposite directions'

This song is about having lost yourself, and wanting to be the person you were before. "Note to self, I miss you terribly, this is what we call a tragedy, come back to me." He's saying that he misses who he used to be.
-
I don't know if I am right but I think that this song is talking about maybe someone leaving him,
"Note to self: I miss you terribly.
This is what... we call a tragedy.
Come back to me, come back to me, to me.
Note to self: I miss you terribly.
This is what... we call a tragedy.
Come back to me, back to me, to me.
out maybe someone leaving him"
Or maybe things that are going on in his mind (video),
"I can feel my mind, wandering again.
Into where I don't know, and will I ever get home?
Time starts moving, faster than I can.
And I'm sick of this scene,
I need to break the routine."
