The Latest Plague Lyrics

What would you say, if this blemished face,
This blemished face with a crooked nose
Had a chance to say whatever he wanted
from his blemished world of the unknown?

Would you give a fuck if all that you heard
Were nouns and verbs like...

im not sure what the song exactly is about, but I read that the music the music video is almost literaly a story of their lives, matt was stuck at home, travis worked at a gas station, and derek was in a prep school, but it didn't say anything about sonny so I'm confused about that. Then it says that the band formed and they were all like, rocking out in that tower thing. So I'm thinking the song is about escaping from all the crap in life and just finding something to be happy about, to outweigh all the bad stuff and all the lies being fed to us. I HAVE NO IDEA TRULY but this was just an idea... If you havnt seen the video, its at

this is about someone imperfect triumphing over all the fake people that have shoved them into the dirt their whole lives (I take it to be autobiographical to Sonny Moore, but I may be wrong). It's about finally having the chance to say what you really think and for YOU to have the chance to decide where YOU fit in and what YOUR life means. 'sit down. don't tell me, don't tell me where I don't belong'.

'all the better-thans that fed us shit, will be knocked on the floor, so don't you place your bets just yet'

the real people will triumph over adversity. That pretty much sums it up.
