From First to Last: The One Armed Boxer vs the Flying Guillo Meaning
The One Armed Boxer vs the Flying Guillo Lyrics
Hello ladies and gentlemen
I'm glad you've graced me with your presence
You're in time to see me wrestle with my conscience
Staring into the si-si-si-silence
You see I came to save the stage
I hope I'm not too...
-
I kind of agree with the first person, I think he's also trying to encourage people to be who they want to be and inspire them ("inspiration isn't cheap these days") to achieve their goals.
-
Totally agree with you...
and you explained it fine!
no confusion -
okay, really simple and kinda hard to explain,
its about the battle of the youth today against society, for lack of a better word "emo kids" and goths and such on how there frowned apon in society while the..well basically jocks and preps thrive in school and go through university and get jobs that are considered "contributing" while these other kids who want to do what they love(like sonny) in the music industry, are shunned because it seems like you have to do something that everyone else is doing to be considered an accomplishment. This songs mostly about how narrow minded the adults are.
