George Michael: The Strangest Thing Meaning
The Strangest Thing Lyrics
Time has been twisting the knife
I don't recognize
People I care for
Take my dreams
Childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze
Please just be there for me
The things that I know
Nobody told me
The seeds that...

George Michael said in this song a secret message , that message is about to make sure that you are not a slave of your choice.

I honestly think it's still about the loss of his first love and his desperation.
"A liar in my head" (he thinks he can move on from the death, but can't).
"A thief on my bed" (someone jumping at the chance to fuck George, rather than have the connection with him) .
"I cannot keep my eyes open" (He's lost, he's aimless... He's looking for what he had and he cannot find it.
Desperately yearning... But death, like us all... has made him a loser).
Also when he asks for love further on in the song... He wants his ex partner to connect with him.
He wants to feel that love again.
He would even take it in a dream, if it meant he felt that way again, even for a fleeting moment.
Such a sad time for George, RIP.
Pain makes for some good music.

The thief on the bed is the guy using George for sex that's why he never holds George or says he loves him.
The liar in George's head is twisting the knife by trying to convince him the love is real when it's not.
It's the strangest thing not to be able to open your eyes.
George still has faith in finding love, deep down even being outside and having turned different corners he was aware that fast love was all he had in mind .
If money was love George would be living hand to mouth.
His first love died then his mother he realised that God was not real love .
George bless him older but not wiser.
He died because he wanted to, he could see behind the mask and we all should be praying for time. -
I think George is recounting sexual abuse as a child and the feelings of love it creates. Most homosexuals were abused as children if they would be honest and its the confusion that creates their homosexuality. Just ask one.
