Get Scared: Built for Blame Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Built for Blame Lyrics
When they're open-minded
To the thought of getting hurt again
Beaten to the bone
With the thought of all your worst events
You said just look (you just look), don't touch
Oh you think you know
It's exactly...

Honestly, this is what the we make of it. I think that’s what the artist wanted us to interpret that song as. If this song makes you feel guilty about something maybe you should do something about it, or the song makes you realize you’re always being blamed you should stand up for yourself. I think the song is a perfect way to show what our subconscious might be telling us, so perhaps the song is supposed to be your subconscious.

Clearly this song is about taking blame and that when the singer took the blame at some point in his life he thought tbat it would make things better whwn either way it didnt make much better at all considering what had happened in his past.
This song is about addiction and substance abuse in my eyes. As long as he owns up to the addictions ir might make it easier for hom in the future where as he sings about "what if it doesnt work?" Well what if it didnt? He is taking blame for what he done and is managing to deal with it in his own way but by getting things off his chest makes it easier for him to breathe. -
It sounds like a combination of self-harm, addiction, and abuse to me.

Knowing that Joel, the singer, was addicted to child pornography, it could also refer to that, he feels ashamed, like he is to blame, also it's definitely about depression like lots of these songs-oh
-
this song is exactly like my life, always taking the blame until you can't take it anymore. until you fall into insanity and self harming behaviors. everythings ok, as long as i take blame. it also seems that he was sexually abused...
