Get Scared: Keep Myself Alive Meaning
Keep Myself Alive Lyrics
How could this darker cloud make me stronger now ?
I always ask myself
When will this go away ?
When will this change ?
Oh! I don't wanna, wanna wait.
All of this pain,
Oh! Will it, will it go away ?
I ask myself...

I think this song is based off of an early adult that grew up with neglectful, horrible parents -" I just wanna leave this place behind, everytime I see your face in mine! " meaning they are noticing they look like their parent(s). making them want to run away or even kill themself.
-
It sounds like a person who had terrible parents, and is afraid to become like them. Unfortunately for this person, they've started turning into their parents hate themselves for it, and wants to kts over it: "I just want to leave this place behind everytime I see your face in mine".
Building on the parents subject, it could be someone who faced neglect/abuse as a kid and developed permanent issues that could've been fixed had the parents been willing. Ofc, the parents looked after themselves and not their kid: "Fix your life just don't fix mine".
That's all I really have -
Kay, so basically it is about wanting to run away "Oh I just wanna leave this place behind." It is because of a specific person "every time I see your face in mine" so most likely a family member or someone who closely resembles that person. Music is the only thing keeping said person sane "I keep singing oh dadadadada, I keep singing just to keep myself alive." DAT IS ALL
