My Nightmare Lyrics

In a slumber where no one can wake me from
The scent of her skin still haunts my lungs
And the moon never leaves her eyes
Here's a toast to another endless night
It's a feeling in my bones
A carousel for two that no one knows
What a twist,...

In my eyes I think he's singing about a woman who left him, he speaks of still knowing her scent, and how when he wakes up she's not there, maybe he truely loved her and his nightmare is actually his life, where as his dreams are where he's happy because he still has her.

In my eyes the singer is singing about being trapped in a heartbreaking nightmare.

A heartbreak about the death of a loved one is what i feel like i am listsning to. "You'll never know, how much it kills me." Is where he is saying that the deceast will literally never know how he feels and how much it is tearing him apart from the inside.

When he sings "I hope I never wake up" is him saying he never wants to leave them, as when he sleep is the only time he is able to see the loved one.

"Floating, Walking on air" makes me think of someone in heaven.

Overall this is quite a deep topic and such a sad song in this sence as you may have a different interpretation to this song from me. I try putting the words into my mouth and understand them better but listeningto the way he sings and reading the lyrics can make a sudden change to the way you hear a song.
