Pretending Lyrics

Face to face and heart to heart
We’re so close yet so far apart
I close my eyes I look away
That’s just because I’m not okay
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Reach down...

This song was written by Finn for Rachel to show that he still loves her. He was saying that he wishes they would stop pretending that they are ONLY just friends. He wanted them to be more and new Rachel did too yet, she kept saying that she had to focus on her career. Finn is also trying too tell her that they don't get too choose to let this love go away by saying,"Imagine that I am good enough and that we can choose the ones we love."

I think this song is about two lovers, they know they love each other, but are they really sure of their feelings for one another. Finn still loved Rachel when they broke up in season 2 and dated Quinn, Rachel never gave up loving Finn. In a short summary, it's about a love known yet unsaid.

This song was written by Finn as he wanted to show he's still in love with Rachel. And that he doesn't want to back away. Finn also wants Rachel to not be with Jesse.
