Halestorm: I Miss The Misery Meaning
I Miss The Misery Lyrics
I've been a mess since you stayed,
I've been a wreck since you changed,
Don't let me get in your way,
I miss the lies and the pain,
The fights that keep us awake-ake-ake
I'm tellin you!
I miss the bad...

#1 top rated interpretation:Sometimes negative feelings and fighting feels better than nothing at all. When your in a relationship and the other person doesn't show you love, any kind of attention could feel better than feeling alone or unloved. It feels good that at least they will fight for you, if they don't want to show love. I think this is the idea behind it.

It's a metaphor and she misses him. Just some are opposites of what she actually feels in a toxic relationship , she still cared for him.
-
This song refers to the way Lzzy had a bad life with parents or and ex that she broke it off with.
-
It's about someone who had arguments with someone who made them feel like huge shit, and that person has changed and the person is reminising because the person who abused him/her doesn't abuse anymore and he/she really misses it but maybe is being sarcastic about the abuse. He/she just loves him/her.

I it is about her ex boyfriend that was rude and that she argued with and she misses the way the arguments made her feel.
-
It's about someone she was in a relationship with when she was young - in fact she even contacted him to let him know that the song was specifically written for him. It was called Mister Misery initially, as that was her nickname for him - and yes, it suits him to perfection, so does the song. He lives in London and they're now good friends.

I think that she isn't a sadist, but rather, she's missing the arguments as she cared about the guy and he was terrible to her, but she would rather have him and the arguments than not. But she knows that he's not good enough for her or that he left her, so she misses his version of care, which was the arguments because she won't have him, or at the least can't. She doesn't really like the arguing, but it's better than nothing. But she does still care about him despite all the pain that he's caused. However, she's being sarcastic by telling him about all that pain. So, she misses it in that she misses his attention as it symbolizes to her his care, but she's also being sarcastic when she says she wants it as those were the things she truly hated and why it ended.

Misery loves company. Again, my wife to a tee
-
I think she's a masochist whose boyfriend doesn't do rough things with her anymore and she doesn't like the nice gentle relationship that she's in.
