Freak Like Me Lyrics

I’m on the train that’s pullin the sick and twisted,
Makin the most of the ride before we get arrested,
We’re all wasted,
And we’re not going home tonight.

Covered in black we lack the social graces,
Just like an animal we crawl out of our...

The simplest answer is that it's about being queer. Lzzy Hale is bi, and advocates for rights, and this song is just that. But put some thought into it and you can make it about whatever u want though, I'm sure the artist would love seeing people get through their own struggles using this as power ;)

I think this song is about being proud of who you are. I think it especially refers to the LGBTQIA+ community in the lines "Wave your flag"(pride flag), and "It's our time now to come out".

this song is rally, it's for all of the losers, all of the people who want acceptance, the end statement quite simply should just be, YOU ARE A BADASS, roll with the punches, let em fly when you have to.

first off Halestorm is the f'ing bomb !

In the 70's "freak" meant several things i.e. To do the nasty with the same sex.
    Being a "head" (stoner).
It also had other meanings when used in other scenarios like "freak your hair" meant to take a White guys straight hair and braid in very small braids wet and let it dry and take it out. It frizzed way out.

I think this song covers it all. Being free to be. Never hold back on who you are. When the masses rise up and scream about what you are then you rise up further and scream louder.

It's about being proud of being different/weird/strange. Especially applicable to the LGBTQ+(etc), but expressed ambiguously enough that anybody who has ever felt like an outsider can carry this as their anthem to be proud of who they are.

Lzzy Hale (yes that's her name) is bisexual, so I view this as her coming-out song.

It is about being different, but it being judged to an extreme. Don't care what others judge, embrace and celebrate who you are.

LGBTQA and any other letters. This song is about not caring what others think about you and your sexuality and coming together to be happy with your "freaks"

I thought the song was about being a part of the LGBT community and they aren't going to change for others. Also that they will share their homosexuality and show the world what they've got. They will show that they are strong and that they don't care what others think or say. People call them "freaks" and they just go along with it and give no negativity because they are proud of who they are and who they want to be. But I don't think that's what it means, but that's what I thought it meant when I listened to it. It's possible but I don't know. :)

I think this song is about not backing down to the stereo types and accepting that your a freak and proud of it. You don't care what other people say or think about you and you do, think, say, and/or wear whatever want to be.
