From Underneath Lyrics

My thought is about not jason's father but the father of David (Davin) Clark. His father left when he was young and he is saying that he wanted his father to be there for all the things he has ever worked on but without him there he turned to God to be his father wen his real father was not with him.

I think this song is about Jason's father who left when he was just a little kid. His father must have left in December or winter according to the lyrics. He wrote this song saying that without his father in his life, he had to turn to God in order to keep living.
