What Ya Gonna Do Lyrics

I'm livin' life with no regrets
They're on their way, but ain't here yet
I just left Las Vegas in bad, bad shape
I only call home if I get the chance
Every other night, a new romance
Wake up just in time to miss the day

And now I'm...

wow. I can't believe someone hasn't interpreted this yet... well, when I first heard this song I immediately became connected to it. My Mother used to be a die hard alcoholic, and much of my childhood was spend lusting over a stable relationship with my parents. When I was around 16 my Mother finally went to get help in a rehabilitation center for almost 2 years. When she was gone I lived with my grandparents and, they first introduced me to this song.

This song [to me] is about somebody struggling in their life. Rather it be drugs, relationships, money, etc.. they seem to be living from day to day. After many people telling them that they need to lift their head up high and fight they finally realize that their life that their currently living isn't the kind of life they SHOULD be living.By the end of the song the person realizes their life and, the recovery process begins.

I'm so grateful for this song. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it without some support. I'm happy to say that I am currently 24 years old with 2 wonderful kids, and a great life. And although my Mother died 2 years ago from kidney complications I know that she made a difference in not only my life but for many people struggling with alcohol and drugs. I love you Mommy and, every time I hear this song I will think of you, and remember the many struggles that you suffered. Thank you Hinder for your amazing music.
