Hinder: Better Than Me Meaning
Better Than Me Lyrics
After all the lies that I made you believe
Guilt kicks in and I start to see
The edge of the bed
Where your nightgown used to be
I told myself I won't miss you
But I remembered
What it feels like...

#1 top rated interpretation:Well, this song is about missing someone you let go of, in this case the guy fucked up his relationship with the girl. Even though he told himself he wouldn't miss her he still does but he loves her so much that he knows that she deserves much better than him.

A true narcissist. Only an egoic narcissist would write this song and only a narcissist wld be able to relate to this song. Openly admitting they knew fully all along they were being dishonest from the very start, incapable of love but loving the emotional intimacy of sex. This song represents one of the biggest problems in the world today, a lack of authentic and true love.

To me this song is about a guy who hasn't been honest with his girl. Her hasn't been faithful at all. And it has finally gotten to the point that he breaks down and confesses to her the things he has done and he doesn't think he is good enough for her so they end the relationship. But all he can think about is her, the good times he had with her, and just being in her presence. It drives him crazy and all he wants is to have her back but he knows she can do better.

This song is about how a guy fucked up his relationship-yes,relationship._.
But it could've been anything.-and it's him trying to say sorry, and that the girl could've done a whole lot better. And it's the fact that he's saying it,it is so sweet somehow.
And it's a whole lot better than him and her enduring the pain if they ever did get back together..
That's just my opinion. -
This song reminds me of so many couples I've known over the years. 'All the lies that I made you believe' ... truth is, she doesn't necessarily believe them ... she just makes him think she does. I heard this song for the first time when I was in the process of breaking up with an ex who could easily have been the guy in this song ... one who thinks that he made her believe everything he said, and one who believes she's too good for him ... I could easily imagine a female 'singing back' and reminding him that she knew exactly what he was and accepted him anyway.

I think her song means that her ego has split in two parts- on the one hand a wild unruly nature governs her psychie and on the other a spoiled idle creature rides her mind I.

To me this I have friends who I don't really see the edge of the bed where your nightgown used to be ain't just about sex to me it reminds me of when my great grandma died before hand we had bought her for Christmas and we had it on the edge of our bed even after she died cause we never had our closure also reminds me of her because I didn't get to say goodbye.
