After the Beatles' breakup, John is making this song to point out all Paul McCartney's flaws. He is also attempting to imply that Paul is nothing without the rest of the Beatles, saying he's just "another day".

this song is basically saying that after the beatles paul mccartney was nothing by saying now you're just another day trying to imply that he's not not ''big'' anymore as he used to be with the beatles in the song he also says thought you learned something in the years which means that paul has no talent also it says that a pretty face can last a year or two but soon they will see what you can do which is saying soon they will see your true colors and you will be seen as nothing and unwanted.
