Josh Groban: You Raise Me Up Meaning
Song Released: 2004
You Raise Me Up Lyrics
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise...

God is Good and inspires us to be a better person. He gives us strength and wisdom and with Him all things are possible!
-
Don't know about anyone else, but, I sing it as a prayer. Jesus alone can raise me up in these ways and when comes "to sit awhile", I sense His presence and am refreshed, encouraged and raised up. He is my all and all and He raises me up "to be more than I can be" on my own. Thank You, Lord. YOU raise me up.

You are with god and u get bravery from him and that makes you do what u want to accomplish

well this is actually a hymn, which says that the singer is weary in his/her life and is down in life and is also going through a lot of troubles in life. And then he speaks to God and asks God to come and help him and that he would not even move until God himself comes and give him some comfort "and i am still and wait here in the silence, until you come and sit a while with me"
in the second verse he speaks about how much God means to him in life and that when God comes around and give him comfort he sees a gimps of heaven in it. -
I think its about that one person in your life that is your rock.. They help you through the bad and are there during the good.. :) that's just my opinion tho
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
