Journey: Send Her My Love Meaning
Song Released: 1983
Send Her My Love Lyrics
Since I've seen her face
You say she's doin' fine
I still recall
A sad cafe
How it hurt so bad to see her cry
I didn't wanna say goodbye....
[CHORUS]
Send her my love
Memories remain
Send her my love
Roses never...

Wow, I truly lived through the meaning of this song. I met this well known singer who lives on another continent. We spent time together during his tour and he told me it’s so hard to leave me, if there weren’t too many obstacles in the way we would get married. We’re with other people now and we do send messages checking on one another once in a blue moon, but those memories will always be cherished.

In his Songfacts interview, Jonathan Cain talked about what inspired this song. "I had a girlfriend when I was a teenager and somebody had called backstage to one of the shows and said, 'Virginia still talks about you and your relationship.' It was just one of those offhanded comments. I looked at her and just said, 'Send her my love.'

I don't have an interpretation but for me it makes me think of my first born baby that sadly passed away. " She wanted so much more than I could give" kills me every time.
RIP Sweet Whitney. You will never be forgotten.
God...SEND HER MY LOVE
