Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) Lyrics

Here we stand
Worlds apart, hearts broken in two, two, two
Sleepless nights, losing ground
I'm reaching for you, you, you

Feelin' that it's gone
Can change your mind
If we can't go on
To survive the tide love divides

Someday love...

A man and woman separate. The man tells her he truly loves her and once she “breaks the chains that bind her” he will be waiting for her. So breaking the chains that bind her can mean a marriage, a boyfriend, a family member that doesn’t want her to be with him (Dad, mom, brother, sister etc..) But really anything can bind someone… a bad attitude , being a gold digger, being a jealous person, being uncaring or cold.

Once she breaks away from whatever is keeping her from loving another person (anyone), she will find true love. If “he” (another guy) hurts you, he will still be there for her, she’s never truly alone. And if she finds herself alone when the chains break, she can always come back to him because his “true love won’t desert you”.

The song feels as though you're holding on to something but you have to let it go. "Someday, love will find you..." It shows how much this person cares and how much this means to him.
