Kamelot: Forever Meaning
Forever Lyrics
That I can't define
There's an empty space
Where your love used to shine
From the night we met
Till the day you died
Do you think I wished
Do you still believe I tried
All too soon we were divided
And life had just...

What it means to me, personally, and the feel of the melody itself is, to me, the beloved, our counterpart is here always and, simultaneously it isn't. As we all are in exact same amounts light and darkness so are our feelings/perceptions/interpretations, dark and light. We feel the overwhelming happiness of the moment as much as the painful sting of our beloved playing peekaboo with us within its "duality" (the illusion of separation), which is no other than the magnanimus non-duality which becomes apparent more clearly yet at the moment of death and so, we look forward to it. This song actually speaks to me of all eternity, as the title suggests indeed. The circle of life. Never ending, only form-shifting. Of our completeness in our illusionary lackness. We are the one we are singing to/for/by/with. All creatures, nature and the non-existent are one. Such a powerful communication could only be transmitted by such a powerful and lustrous voice. The voice, the drums, the keyboardist, the bass, the chorus, nothing is lacking. Absolutely nothing is there that I could think of adding or omitting. Beautiful rendition. Powerful song.
