Redneck Lyrics

So goddamn easy to write this
You make it spill on the page
So drunk on your self, self-righteous
The laughing stock of your own fucking stage

But I ain't one to call names
Or throw stones in a house of glass
You try me

This is a motherfucking...

This song was written by randy Blythe about phil anselmo. Phil said lamb of god made no contribution to the metal world. So lamb of god basically said that's a bet. Wrote redneck, randy sang it the way phil does, they added pantera style licks, and gave anselmo a verbal bitch slap the metal world will never forget.

So Mike made the person who he had beef with sing his own 'fuck you' song. Genius.

You're both wrong. It was written by guitarist, Mike Morton, about singer, Randy Blythe. It was alluded to by Morton himself in an interview. You can check it out if you wikipedia the song name.

Actually you're both wrong. The song was written by guitarist, Mike Morton, about singer, Randy Blythe, himself. If you want to check, it was alluded to by Morton himself in an interview when asked the question and you can also wikipedia the song. AND if you know Randy or know anyone who knows him from his hometown, Richmond, VA(like me), then you would've heard many stories of Randy's (former)Drunken(actually been sober a couple years now, if he is still in fact..), opinionated, prick-ish ways. And fans think what he says is gospel (alluding to lyric content, etc). You make a dude who you have beef with sing his own "fuck you" song. Genius.

you're all wrong-Mike Morton wrote this song about singer Randy Blythe himself cuz, if you know him or anyone who's known him from his hometown, Richmond Va(like me)< then you know he's a prick..and self-rightgeous, and very much a FORMER drunk. a lot. If you wanna check it out, Morton alludes to this in an interview. Made the person you have beef with sing his own beef song. Genius.

I personally think the song is about George W. Bush.
For example 'A blind preacher for the pin-eyed congregation' is saying that Bush was a naive leader of a country who, in the writers opinion, are generally narrow minded.
Or the lines 'Just one time, you got a reason. Heard you got nothing to lose'may be referring to the invasion of Iraq.
Of course, this is just my interpretation and I could be totally wrong.

Aaah yes, Redneck. That great song that made me fall in love with LOG.
I think this is a song against those "Redneck" people.
    Like:
This is a motherfuckin' invitation: ...to convert and return normal.
Just one time you had a reason, heard you have nothing to lose: Before becoming a fucking Redneck you had something, 'you had a reason', then you thought 'you have nothing to lose', so...
So close your eyes once more and once more believe that they all still believe in you: Please, think about it. Think about everyone that finds you strange. 'they all still believe in you'.

I also think I'm totally wrong and that I'll get owned by someone else's interpretation, but this might be just me.
