To me this is a song about dying or an impending death. Some lines make it seem as if it was written about a beloved pet. Like the line "we'll go walkin' through the park, everyday". Then a reunion in heaven or some other sort of afterlife. Lyrics and tune not written by Page.

I think this is simply that he needs to move on... get back on the road and it's way of life. It's calling him the way it used to do. He may come back some day but for now he's got to... can anyone say "Ramble On"?

i think that its about a man that trying to get a woman to be whit him but . he came to recistance from the woman so he thinks about giving up = living her . and after some time he sees that he loves her and like telling to her ,that he does love her.

i'm all in for the drugs conclusion. it is most definitely about drugs.I feel he's telling her he loves her but his guilty pleasure awaits him elsewhere. Even though the song was really written by this woman called Anne Brendon the Led Zeppelin Version has this Junkyness about it.In a good way.
