Sucker For Pain Lyrics
I torture you
Take my hand through the flames
I torture you
I'm a slave to your games
I'm just a sucker for pain
I wanna chain you up
I wanna tie you down
I'm just a sucker for pain

#1 top rated interpretation:I think that this song may mean that they self harm and since it's one of those things that you almost get addicted to, they feel like they can't stop. For example,"I'm a slave to your games." Also, "sucker for" means you really like something, so "I'm a sucker for pain." Means (in my point of veiw) "I have gotten used to the pain, it soothes me."

#2 top rated interpretation:It's about living with all kinds of pain and the ways you cope with it. If you have emotional pain, sometimes you use cutting or lifestyle things like BDSM to express on the outside what you feel inside. Or you do it if you have physical pain as a way to take back control, to overwhelm the pain and to take your mind off the pain you can't stop and think about the pain you chose. Another way to cope with pain is to go dead inside, to shut down your own feelings. Or to be a sadist and hurt and kill other people because it lets out your own pain and helps you feel powerful and in control. These are all ways people deal with pain. The song is talking about them all. It's all the different ways we deal, we cope.

#3 top rated interpretation:There are two voices in the song: the dominant and the sub. They may be suckers for pain because :
1. being so infatuated/in love with someone that you become a 'slave to their games' even though you know they are a toxic 'flame' you want to burn just to feel the pain of being hurt by them. The pain even 'soothes' you.
2. Inflicting pain empowers you and is a way to manipulate others. You 'tie them up' to show them they are helpless and you are in charge. This could be constant teasing, negging, gaslighting etc.
3. A BDSM relationship of mutual consent based around a shared kink.

I believe it could be about police brutalty? How we tread we accept the punishment, or that we are noncompliant.
-
My wife likes this song and she also likes being submissive in our bedroom end of my story thanks
-
Idk but these seem pretty literal to me try thinking more in depth I personally can't think deeply In general but I haven't seen anyone do a relationship thing or trauma thing I mean it could be about someone who keeps getting hurt by there significant other and keeps coming back. The squad parts could be there s.o.'s exes or main characters friends and the lil Wayne part could be him finally giving in and becoming like s.o. u know hurting or it could thst they feel bad about something they did and bdsm or they could just be extreme adrenaline junkies and do it for the thrill Ex tetherless rock climbers. More Dangerous than usual and not suicidal but not bubble rap.
-
It means you suck the pain.
-
sCreEch idkk, I don't have a very clear or accurate answer, but I always thought of it in relation to suicide squad. It seemed to fit the theme of Harley Quinn and Joker but there were some other aspects that, like another user mentioned, sounded like it was trying to convey how different people have to try and cope with their sufferings, especially those who've been through a trauma of some sort and are so accustomed to it that they find it unnerving and abnormal otherwise
-
Hi! Thanks for reading this haha. The song's lyrics are about BDSM, but it was wrote for the movie Suicide Squad. BDSM means bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadism and masochism. But it's totally fine if you view the lyrics about the movie.
-
It says they are a slave for pain, so the only reason I see that they love pain so much is that they have demons living inside of them. And that is from a Christians point of view
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Well this song could mean self harm or it could be a bdsm song but the only people that knows the truth is the singers.
-
People that say this songs is about "self harm" or "emotional pain" are so stupid. This song is about bdsm. "I wanna chain you up i wanna tie you down" Get it right people
-
A group of people, maybe friends or siblings. All experience pain from someone of multiple people. They experienced pain for so long that that is all they know and they think pain is normal. They want more pain because that is all they are used to. And, from my perspective, one of them fights back.
-
It's about Harley Quinn living trough pain.
-
They live through pain (watch suicide squad guys xd).
