Shatter Me Lyrics
I pirouette in the dark
I see the stars through a mirror
Tired mechanical heart
Beats 'til the song disappears
[Chorus:]
Somebody shine a light
I'm frozen by the fear in me
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter...
-
I believe that this song talks to a yearning that those "trapped" have to be set free. In the end they can themselves be set free by breaking the glass - or the "barrier" that keeps them trapped.
If YOU are trapped - just tap the glass, break the barrier and you'll be set free. -
People who have been through traumatic experiences become so depressed sometimes that they cease to feel anything. And sometimes they wish for pain (physical or emotional) because it tells them that they're not read yet.
