Linkin Park: Part of Me Meaning
Part of Me Lyrics
Everyday reminded how much I hate it
Weighted against the consequences
Can’t live without it so it’s senseless
Wanna cut it out of my soul
And just live with a gaping hole
Take control of my life
And wash out all...

#1 top rated interpretation:If taken as a description of self-injury, this describes it more perfectly than I've heard or read of anything else. "Once it's done you feel like you've been touched by something angelic," (or something like that)...when the endorphins kick in after a person has hurt him/herself, they DO feel happy and relaxed. "Cut myself free..." Literally, cutting oneself. Self-harm is a temporary means of escape, a coping mechanism. Many who SI do feel internal turmoil, things that "won't go away." "Always something wrong with me"...self-injurers do feel like there is something wrong with them. Very, very low self-esteem. That's why they feel the need to hurt themselves; they think they deserve to be hurt.

I think This song is about people who suffer from extreme mental disorders.he/she hate that part of themselves and wish to cut it off from their souls but they are unable to do it.when they look around other normal people they always notice that there's something wrong with themselves but they can't adjust it and live a normal happy life.

This song is about the state of mind that every self harmed ends up in at some point. Everything is dark and twisted, you literally cannot see the beauty in life cause you are so blinded by darkness and bitterness. I think roseofireland nailed it.

This song reminds me each and every time of the scars i've created.
From the sound of the lyrics, it sounds like he's talking about cutting himself, and regretting each and everytime he does it :/
i wish this addiction didn't exist... -
I think Mike shinoda has a split-personality. And it keeps on talking to him and won't leave him alone
Or I think it means his conscience is talking to him
You know? -
This song reminds me of how my anger used to control my life and everything I did. I listened to this song over and over 24/7. even when I was sleeping. I decided to stop listening to it and I was able to start to control my anger and it doesn't control my life any more.

This song reminds me of my anger and how it was always there and won't go away. I used to live my life to this song and I finnaly took control of my anger.
