Linkin Park: With You Meaning
With You Lyrics
To the cold of the static, and put my cold feet on the floor
Forgot all about yesterday
Remembering I’m pretending to be where I’m not anymore
A little taste of hypocrisy
And I’m left in the wake of the mistake,...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song relates to my life and a friend I have.
It's about how you know someone and one day they just change. (for me it was because we hadn't seen eachother for a few weeks)
Their not the same person, it's like you don't even know them anymore. Their personality is completely different.
Even though you're near them, it's like they're not there and you can't get the real person back no matter how hard you try, you know that it will never be the same anymore. "So even though you're close to me, you're still so distant and I can't bring you back." -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:This song is me through and through.
It's about a guy who lost his love in life, but he refuses to believe it's over or that she's really gone. So she moves on with her life and he can't.
"I woke up in a dream today"
the lines between his reality and what is actually happening is blurred
"A little taste of hypocrisy, and I'm left in the wake of the mistakes"
throughout the relationship she says one thing (I love you) and her actions prove differently. But all he can see is his mistakes through it all.
"So even though you're close to me, you're still so distant and i can't bring you back"
He still knows her better than anyone, and likewise, but she's different, she's changed and no matter what he does he can't resurrect the past and what they had.
"The sound of your voice Painted on my memories."
All it takes is hearing her voice one time and he's right back to reliving his memories.
"keeping everything inside"
the true emotions never show.
"even when i close my eyes"
He can never stop thinking about her
"When things go wrong, I pretend that the past isn't real"
Whenever they argue he secludes, he acts like his mistakes never happened
"No matter how far we've come, I can't wait to see tomorrow"
Even through all this, he refuses to lose hope out of ignorance or out of belief in true love, he still believes in a new tomorrow, a new beginning.
This song speaks to me, like no other song ever has. It definitely describes how I feel and my interpretation may not be spot on but I'm pretty sure it's close. -
I think the song is about a man who die and the girlfriend was so madly in love that she can’t believe it. She in denied and grief stricken and lost. She sound like they were soldmates

"A woke up in a dream today
To the cold of the static, and put my cold feet on the floor
Forgot all about yesterday
Remembering I'm pretending to be where I'm not anymore"
I wake up a new day with a great sensation of unreality, I nearly forget the day before and the events of that day and its consequences. I'm illusory keeping myself as if that events has not ever occurred.
"A little taste of hypocrisy
And I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react
Even though you're so close to me
You're still so distant, and I can't bring you back"
Acting just like if I didn't know about the things happened that day between me and you, but in fact, you are so far away from me by that, although you live with me yet, in this our home.
I feel guilty, slow to react in that moment to avoid this present situation. I loose control of myself.
"I hit you and you hit me back
We fall to the floor, the rest of the day stands still
Fine line between this and that
When things go wrong I pretend that the past isn't real
Now I'm trapped in this memory
And I'm left in the wake of the mistake, slow to react
So, even though you're close to me
You're still so distant, and I can't bring you back"
Strong words (or maybe some light violent scene) between you and me. Terrible things said, I was slow to react and not say things I should have not said, our words crossed the line we never ought to pass. The harm has no remedy now.
The rest of that day does not seems to exist because the intensity of these emotions are heavily recorded in my mind. Pretending again all that, it has not happened.
Now you're not the same with me and it has no remedy.
"It's true
The way I feel
Was promised by your face
The sound of your voice
Painted on my memories
Even if you're not with me"
In your face was written. Your nature and my character inevitably should bring this rupture. But Iḿ obsessed with you although you're not mine nevermore.
"No, no matter how far we've come
I can't wait to see tomorrow
No matter how far we've come
I can't wait to see tomorrow
With you"
It is impossible to get back to our relationship, but anyway I cannot wait to see you again. I feel I am yours although you're not mine never again. I keep feeling this, and I keep it inside me.
Thats what I understand and what I feel listening this song.

Well the original title of this song is called Dust brothers in their demo. So going by that with the lyrics, I would say it makes more sense to be about a sibling relationship in which they've had some sort of falling out and are now apart. One seems to miss the other but can't get through to their family because maybe they died or just won't listen.

I think this song is about any sort of relationship (sibling, romantic, etc.) in which both sides have drifted apart from some force. The person singing this song really loves the person, and wants them back, but cannot because they are so distant.

it's more like a break up (i think :P)
after the break up, he/she feels angry (like a paranoid). He/she feels like his/her lover is still with him/her.
The conclusions is about something that seems to be finished, but isn't.
it's still my opinion :P -
I think it is about a guy who got dumped by his girlfriend. Then, she dies and he still wants her back, but can't have her back. Even if she is not with him, he is with her.
-
I think it's about when someone like a brother or sister die and you remember fights you had with them and you can't stop thinking about them
