Matthew Good Band: Symbolistic White Walls Meaning
Song Released: 1995
Symbolistic White Walls Lyrics
-
I first loved this song at 21 and now still at 38; so cathartic and south stretching, loathing, cutting to the core. About a divorce then and a marriage now. Total exposure, unable to hide truth even when one looks at you "cheap and see through", trying to hold it together when you know your relationship is in total collapse. The most haunting feeling next to death a break up, division of bond married or not..undeniable and evident. Growing tired of the fasaud..but you fake it, maybe make it for a while then realize it's not true to yourself..only promise in the song is "it's alleight now take the world and make it yours again" hope that u can make it on your own; pieces collected, socks pulled up, heart battered but not broken, still ripping on to the ghostly soul..ahh love what a bitch.
