Metallica: Frantic Meaning
Song Released: 2003
Frantic Lyrics
Would I use them to get back on track?
Stop to warm at karmas burning,
Or Look ahead, but keep on turning.
Do I have the strength
To know how I'll go?
Can I find it inside to deal with...
-
I think that this song is about someone who is always obsessing over every detail, trying to get the best outcome possible, and always thinking about what would happen if he did something, while he never actually does anything. (So basically Chidi from The Good Place)
-
it shows the vanity of life and how we can get rid of it by searching the meaning
-
It is about wasting your time drinking, smoking, doing drugs you name it. And when you stop you look back and your like wow i wasted my time do I have enough time to make up for what I`ve done.
-
It is obviously about being frantic
-
i think this is just showing that some people just dont think of what there doing and at the end of it all they with that thery had stoped and thought of what they where doing then made the right desison in sted of just wasting there life away and ruining it all buy destroying them self
-
this song is about a man who is about to die, he is wishing he could take all his wasted days back ("if i could have my wasted days back")the way he lived determined the way he died. He basically did nothing with his life and wishes he did but its too late. (this was all on making the frantic video)
-
I believe the meaning of this song is to address poor choices in life like living in the fast lane and abusing one's health trying to ignore the idea of and avoid a meaningful life by synthetic means and sex and suggests reflection and possible regret. (A haunting visual recount of a man's routine of self abuse in fast motion is quite visible in the music video for this song)
It is asking those of us out there making poor life choices to reflect and consider change before it may be too late.
