Metro Station: Seventeen Forever Meaning
Seventeen Forever Lyrics
And this is wrong, but who am I to judge
You feel like heaven when we touch
I guess for me this is enough
We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen...
-
IMHO they are both drunk, fell for each other, they know that what they do is not right´, but who cares when you're drunk trying to live your life to the fullest

well, I think this song is actually an older boy, or man, whichever you prefer, with a younger girl of 17. I dont know how much older, he could be 19 for all I know, but regardless, she is technically illegal, and I think what its saying is that they're both young, but according to the law, this is wrong, they shouldn't be doing this, it's not safe for them to be together, but he's telling her she won't be 17 forever, and there will be a time when she's officially legal, and they can be together without anyone being able to say anything. He says "Your wise beyond your years" because she acts more mature than a child, which is what people are probably considering her at her age, and at one point, it says "It feels like heaven when we touch,I guess for me this is enough" he knows they can't do anything at the moment, because its to dangerous, so just being close to her is enough for him at the moment. Alot of people think the song is the other way around where she is the older one, but that doesnt make much sense either to me EXCEPT for when he says "You won't be seventeen forever, but we can get away with this tonight" but that part can be taken either way. I think it's that hes older, but I'm not the song writer, so it's not like I have final word or anything, haha

Well at first I thought this song was an older gentleman that's was well having sex with a teen girl of 17 of age then I started thinking of it then I was like wow I'm way off then now...
well the song is about lets say in my point of view that there is this teen aged boy who is lets say 14 or 15 and he is going out with this girl who is 17 and in the beginning it clearly sates that both of them r young"you are young but so am i"and then it says"this is wrong but who am I to judge?"this myrics means like he thinks its wrong because well maybe somebody told him its wrong to date some that is older than him.and he doesn't want to judge because he might doubt the person who told him this.then in the next lyrics"You feel like heaven when we touch,i guess for me this is enough" he just feels safe and secure when he with her.ummm I'm not really sure about the chorus part and I won't waste the time and confuse you guys with it so I won't do that part.the next verse"you are young and I am scared"that means..well.....hmmmm....i don't know this part either srry :(.....ok now I know this part"you're wise beyond your years but I don't care"he thinks she is wise becuae she is older than him so that's why he thinks this or she really is."then the rest of the verse just explains itslef, then chorus again,ok now the next verse"will you remember me,you ask me as I leave, remember wat I said?,oh how could i,oh how could I forget."ok she asks him this because well since she's gonna be 18 then she will move onto bigger and better things and she might not have the time to be with him anymore and well then he say"oh how could I forget"that kinda shows that he's tellin her that he lovers her..and well that's most of wat I can explain
