Miranda Lambert: More Like Her Meaning
Song Released: 2007
More Like Her Lyrics
She don't have too much to say when she gets mad
She understands she don't let go of anything
Even when the pain gets really bad
Guess I should've been more like that
You had it all for a pretty...

I lived this song in 1985. My boyfriend left me to see if another woman would "fit him" better than me. He came back to me after about 3 months. He was sorry and didn't want to live the rest of his life without me. We married a month later and lived a wonderful life together for 33 years. He passed away in 2018 from cancer. I believe the women he left me for might have felt she should have been "more like her (me)". I believe she fell in love with him back in 1985 and would have liked to keep him for her own. "More like her" is her story.
-
Actually@, I think she wishes she would have kept quiet and things might have been different and maybe better at the end.
I actually think they still love each other and will some day be together for good. -
I feel she was with a married or a committed man. Maybe he lied and told her he had left his significant other. Then he goes back to the one he was with him all sing. Miranda is reflecting on what went wrong. Maybe she is also seeing how she should have acted. Also that being rich isn’t all a man doesn’t want

It is a song sung from the perspective of the rebound girlfriend. Who is saying to the guy she fell for that she fell for him and his lies but confronted him on those and he returned to girlfriend 1 who holds on to everything (including holding in her emotions even when the pain gets really bad...) so that the boyfriend doesnt leave. In desipration(we don't know why he was despirate...but it's implied he is dispirited bc gf 2 is confronting him) so his fear of being alone drives him back to gf 1 who takes him back.
-
I think she is being a bit sarcastic and bitter... she messed around with a guy who had a girlfriend and he initially left the girlfriend for Miranda, but in the end he went back to the gf because she was simpler and demanded less of him. Miranda is more fiery and fierce in personality than the gf and the guy couldn't or didn't want to handle it after all.
-
I think it means she is being sarcastic when she says "more like her." Like when she says you love her and she loves you with all she has, it's like obviously you love her because you cheated on me with her.
-
It Means That If I Was More Like Her You Would Be With Me Not Her.....
-
Maybe if she had been "More Like Her" she would of gotten the guy.
-
Actually, I believe that she was the other women but in the end he ended up dumping her and going back to his wife! So she feels like she should have been more like her....
-
I think that more like her means that she should have been less wrapped around his finger and give the boy a Chase because the girl before her would stand for his lying and she would hold it against him.until he came crawling back. She should have been more like her in a sense of not to fall so fast when she knew his reputation. You can tie down someone who left someone wake for you. They will clearly leave you too if they find something more desirable.
-
I believe that when she is sayinging more like her, she should have seen what was going on and not been so naive to the man. She should have taken her ques from the other woman. I don't think more like her means something like jealousy.
