My Chemical Romance: Emily (Rough Mix) Meaning
Emily (Rough Mix) Lyrics
It was a head shot
You know, you gave me the gun
Oh please, just hide me now
I won't tell a soul
It was the worst part
What we did to this little girl
Oh please, don't leave me now
Baby please,...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:Emily is desspressed and wants to die.She meets a boy,and falls in love with him,but still wants to die.The boy wants her to be happy, and seeing how sad she is even with him, agrees to kill her, thinking it is the only way for his girlfriend to be happy, which is all he wants. The song is in the perspective of the boy, regretting his actions and wishing he could see her again.I know this is different from all the other interpretations, but he called her baby, which couples often call eachother.

I'd say there was a family - their mother was killed by a man so there are just two daughters and the dad. The father had to work and the girls were home alone. He gave them a gun and told them to be careful with it and use it only of they re in danger or if the murderer comes back.
After the dad left for work, one of the daughters takes the gun and accidentally shoots her sister. Shes scared so she hides her body far away from home.
When the dad comes back, the sister says the killer came and emily got scared and ran away. Now theyre both waiting for Emily to come home, the dad never knowing what really happened. -
Emily ran away from home because of an abusive family maybe the dad shot the mom and the accomplice was the dads friend.
-
according to me.. there's this guy and his wife(Emily) .. They're both crazy.. one day he lost it and shot his daughter.. emily ran away and left him.. and now in the song he's ofc regretting everything he did.. he's asking her to come back and telling her he'll behave..
IDK IF THIS IS ACTUALLY TRUE BUT THIS MAKES SM SENSE SO YEAH -
like many people have said, i think its the story of a man who murders a child then begins to regret his actions.
-
i think it could be that emily isn't the girl he killed, she could be someone he lost (because maybe they found out) and he is trying to get them to believe it wasn't his fualt. and the verses are him kind of blaming the person who he killed her with, and the chorus is to emily. I don't know everyone elses are probably alot more accurate

Someone kidnaps and kills a girl, and somehow the narrator at the beginning is involved in the murder, maybe he saw the murder/the killer confessed the crime to him and has no choice but to help the killer to hide the evidence. "You know you have me the gun"
Then there's the detective and the girl's father, like in the movie prisoners (2013) who are trying to find her.
The accomplice feels guilty about Emily's murder and is intimidated by the killer but after seeing the pain that Emily's disappearance has brought her family he family confesses.
Now take this lyrics form House of Wolves Version 1 Demo:
"Tell the judge that I'm innocent
Tell the jury I'm no one at all"
These could be the words of the accomplice to the father/detective, after the accomplice told them where is the corpse/who is the killer.
But will the father/detective forgive the accomplice in exchange for the information? Will the accomplice escape punishment for his involvement in Emily's murder?
That I don't know, it's been a while since I heard all mcr songs in a row, maybe there are more "hidden" meanings/lyrics that continue this story in other Living with Ghosts' songs

It's about a girl (Emily). The narrator shot her and did some bad things to her it seems but supposedly doesn't believe it was his fault and it was someone else's (the person who 'gave [him] the gun'). The narrator is embarrassed/ashamed/scared of what he's done ('oh please just hide me now, I won't tell a soul')
That's what I think it is loosely anyway. -
I reckon it’s more about the narrator (Gerard in this case if you wish) shot a young girl. He could’ve done some more darker and bad things to her since they never actually said anything about what they did to this little girl except for shoot her. Also I would be so bold to assume that he is a psycho that didn’t want to do it. Schizophrenic if you must call it something. I’m not too sure since I ponder on the meaning of the song, but I ponder on it a lot more then I should and all I know is that it’s darker then what everyone thinks!
-
Emily a girl who he (the narrator) knew before she committed suicide. The narrator loved her. But didn't know she had killed herself.

Pff
I thinks it's about killing a child of his mate
" It was a headshot , you know you give me the gun "
He know he hurt he's mate or he just shot her child
" Oh please just hide me now "
He don't want to be judge for what he done cause he only want to be happy with his mate
" It was the worst part we did to this little girl "
It says that he kills a child but why even he's mate wanna leave him for killing child ? It must be her child.
His mate wanna leave him for what he done but he please her and says that he do it for their happiness
When she goes he want her to " come home "
It's my interpretation so yeah....
I don't speak english so sorry for my grammar !
