Nickelback: Don't Ever Let it End Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Don't Ever Let it End Lyrics
Don't let it end
Don't ever let it end
Well, I've got two tickets to the game
It'd be great if I could take you to it this Sunday
And I'll walk you home when the whole thing's done
If you're there, I don't even care which...

#1 top rated interpretation:The song is about a guy who's in love with a girl, but refuses to admit it to himself and to her. He feels that a relationship would threaten their friendship. According to the song though, she knows he has feelings for her and she him, albeit they were drunk at the time. He's tired of pretending to be friends, and he's going to tell her, but she tells him first. Although its a mutual feeling, it's still a scary prospect for the both of them. I know exactly where Chad Kroeger was coming from when he wrote the lyrics, but I'm still pretending. It's scary to think what might happen if you do tell her and it's not a mutual feeling, but it's even scarier still to imagine pretending to be her friend forever...
It's a terrible thought to lose her friendship...and so we pretend. -
If you fall for a girl find ur her past before you ask her out and see if you can live with her past before you ask.

This song is special to me,I adore Nickelback, before this happened it was just a cute song to me, now it shows me what I have to do. I have best friend for a year now, and we talked ,both drunk, on my birthday, we were at the concert of our favourite band, sooo story is the same, two best frineds have to get over friendzone.

I love this song so much because last May I did get tired of pretending and told the guy I like who I fell for the spring before because we walked home together all the time at a school dance after he asked me to slow dance. He never said anything but my friends tell me that he likes me but until I hear it from him myself I won't believe it because I don't believe any guy would ever like someone like me. So long story short he knows how I feel and I'm stuck waiting and hoping for a miracle hurting every time nothing happens.(sorry for the length)

I relate to this song so much. My best friend in the whole world I fell for, i was so scared to tell him, but I did. He reacted the the way we all fear. we stayed friends... A year later we reconnect and hes my boyfriend, he regrets everything and I've never been happier in my life to be in love with my best friend. All i have to say is TAKE THE CHANCE!

i love this song and the meaning it has. The meaning is very clear and it's very similar to the situation that i'm in at the moment,I like this girl who is a very good friend to me, but the guy in the song is too scared to go and ask the girl out. In the end of the song the girl asks out the guy first. Resulting in a happy ending. However in this instance the guy gets incredibly lucky, that the girl asks him first. I don't think that i could ever have the courage to ask out this girl but i really hope someday that i do. Sorry for the long post

I think that would be exactly it. I am sure anyone could agree. Not that its hard to see--the lyrics are as clear as it can be. The song definitely has a meaning we all can relate to. Myself included. The dreadful fear of loving your best friend and the scenarios that run through your mind-- you feel afraid to lose something wonderful, but could also become so much more.
