Mr. Tinkertrain Lyrics

Would you like some sweeties little girl?
Come a little closer
I'm gonna show you a brand new world tonight
I've got a palace full of fantasy
Ready made just for you and me
Once you're there I'm gonna take you for a ride

Chorus:
I've got a one...

Mr. Tinkertrain is Thomas the Tanks British cousin. Of course with Thomas the Tank being a children's show he's offering treats and toys. So nothing sinister here folks! Carry on!

Ozzy was molested as a kid. He is pretty open about it. It is typical to write songs about your trauma.

Mr. Tinkertrain is a great song. This song was written with the intent of laying out a story about a young child getting taken and abused by a man. With lines such as "toys that you've never seen" implies sex toys. This fits in line with a lot of other Ozzy Ozboune songs. Crazy Train is about Depression and other Mental Illness, Patient Number 9 is about Insanity, and Mr. Crowly is about a real man named Aleister Crowley who killed many and started a cult.

Now that the real world has taken the "RED PILL". It's pretty obvious this about what kind of sick shit people in Hollywood have to do to get to the "next level". Think child predator, child trafficking, sacrifice and ADRENCROME. PEDOWOOD doesn't even hide it anymore. Back when this was written it wasn't well known to the world yet. IT BREAKS MY HEART AND MAKES ME SICK to think Ozzy would be involved in this kinda stuff. I've listened to him all my life. But the TRUTH IS THE TRUTH.I honestly don't think we can misinterpret the meaning If your REALLY awake.

It's very irritating that you would leave a comment without having first read the lyrics.

mr tinkertrain means that he is singing about hollywood and fame and how the talent agents and producers executives the big bosses are corrupt and are doing wrong things to young talent such as molestation. also a tinker is someone that messes with things. thats what it means in england. but it also means a gypsy. which has nothing to do with the song!.
ozzy was molested by a teenager as a child. and he is very open and talks about it alot.
    very sad business indeed.
i think he is also reflecting on himself being abused at a young age

You need only read the lyrics to know that Ozzy is singing about raping and murdering a little girl.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

From a song writers POV it feels like a description of LA and how "Little Girls" looking for the "Fantasy World" that want to take a trip on the wild side of the night life are suckered in by the "Mr Tinkertrain" type of talent scouts (which would also relate to child molesters). The Scouts offer all the goodies and "kids" in their 20s fall prey to the lifestyle just to be sucked into the dark pit of it all and loose themselves. "1 way ticket" to get fame "don't be shy" "Now you're here to stay, you can't run, you can't hide, you (media tabloids) can't tell me what to feel inside." If you put yourself into Ozzy's shoes he's mixing two subjects together of fame and fortune with that of how evil society can be for both kids and young adults. Masterful work.

    C'mon people,
Sabbath wrote lyrics and based their persona after old horror movies and created Heavy Metal. Mr. Tinkertrain is based on the movie "M" which Peter Lorre played a child molester/murderer.

Its definitely about a predator. At the beginning you can hear kids on a playground as a stranger comes through the gate. Right before the music starts you can hear screams.

You can tell just by listening to the song that it's about a pedophile. He's bribing his victim to come to him with sweets, toys, and fantasies of happiness, things typically used by pedophiles and child molesters to lure children. Mr. Tinkertrain is likely the name given to the assaulter as he appears to be so nice but goes with bad intentions as he moves from child to child like a train.

A tinker in England is a mischievous boy. This DOES NOT refer to a dirty old man. This can be someone slightly older and more sexually experienced (role play/toys). Consider the time it was written (1991) before statutory rape and such. (Not saying its right, wrong/indifferent) When you can take the creepiness out, you will enjoy the music more and not feel guilty for it! Especially when a stripper named Glitter comes out on stage in a school girl outfit and bangin' body thrashing around to it. She has toys...she will take you places that you've never been! Enjoy mates!

Ozzy spoke, at length, about No More Tears being inspired by a notorious pedophile in England. I think it is possible one of his own children may have fallen victim to one of the sickos in Hollywood and the album was a not so subtle way of dealing with it. Though Tinkertrain doesn't come out and say the child died, No More Tears did. There is an Englishman all over the news who not only molested little girls, but murdered them during the act. I think Ozzy was just dealing with some really dark shit in his own way.

Sorry, but I have another opinion about the meaning of this song.

Of course, none of us can be right about that, so, is just my opinion.

I think that he shows to the people, and "rename" them as "Little", becouse of innocense. But, is like how he can show you the REAL world we live today, just like in Matrix¹, "Would you like the red pill or the blue? There's no way back on your choice".(I'm not talking about that Ozzy used Matrix as a inspiration), There's a studdy telling that most part of people in the world WON'T reach the state mature (mentaly saying), so, I know what he's talking about how to know the real world, and that's dangerous, thats when he say: "Between my wings gonna be alright!". Anyway, I'm not with the lyrics of this song now, and I don't remember it totally.

But I'm pretty sure that this is what he meant to be this song.

AND, of course, he likes to seems "evil", so he made the song to people understand the "easy" meaning of the song: pedofily.

Ps: Sorry, my english is not that good, I just tried to help.

It's about a pedo who molested little girls and thats why the first line in the song is "would you like some sweeties little girl".

This, like most of Ozzy's songs, are self-explanatory. Basically, Ozzy portrays himself as a child molester, stalking young children and tricking them into his house, with the child not knowing what is really going on, but expecting toys, candy, ect. The sole reason for this song, is tell listeners that its a dangerous world out there, and you have to be careful.
