Ozzy Osbourne: See You On The Other Side Meaning
See You On The Other Side Lyrics
Voices, a thousand, thousand voices
Whispering, the time has passed for choices
Golden days are passing over, yeah
I cant seem to see you baby
Although my eyes are open wide
But I know Ill see you once more
When I see you, Ill see you...

#1 top rated interpretation:I don't know who this song was written for in Ozzys eyes, there are many different ideas.... but for me, 5 years ago today, June 5th, 2010, as I left the hospital where my mom had just taken her last breath of life, this song was playing on my car stereo when I turned the key on.
For me, it was my moms way of saying...., I'm ok :)
It gave me a sence of comfort...., thank you Ozzy -

#2 top rated interpretation:No its about Sam Kinson, the Oz man said it himself. Interpret it how you wish as each opinion is that of 1 individual. I however do see the connection people make with Rhoads and this song however. I wish I could say its for Randy, but its not. The reason Ozzy hasn't done a song for Randy is because its still tough for Ozzy to talk about. I've asked him when i saw him at ozfest. He truly loves his fans he was bullshitting with a huge group of us it was epic!! Totally unexpected.

I said this to my dog on Friday when we were at the Vet and had to put him down. We stopped to have beer after and this song was playing on the jukebox when we walked in. I lost it

My wife's goal in life has always been to be a great mother and she is amazing at her craft. We had 3 wonderful children and were expecting a 4th in the middle of 2020. On Jan 1 of 2020 she gave birth to a dismembered child 13 weeks after conception in our bathroom at about 4:30 AM. To say this was devastating would be a gross understatement.
I think this song is about losing someone you love and knowing you will see them again. The thought that is precious to my wife and I is that we will see our child for the first time, "on the other side".
The lyrics and the music in this song portal perfectly the feelings of helplessness, the lack of contact with reality when you loose someone, and the joy of knowing you will see them again. -
He wrote it as if he was telling this to a loved one when he was dying. Because he doesn't want to see them sad.

I commented earlier about this fine piece of a song !!! It means they aren’t saying goodbye and life after death absolutely exists !!!! He’s saying it’s not goodbye forever just for now until
He crosses over to the other side and his soul will once again reunite with that person ! I love this song ! Makes me cry every time. I relate to this song . Perfect song -
From the very first time I heard this song it moved me tremendously. I honestly believe that this song is about him/ and or someone losing someone to a struggle with health and dying slowly . He’s saying he will see them in the next life on the other side . I’m a true believer in heaven and he’s expressing his heartache for someone who he truly loves /
Lover/ friend / family member ! The first time I heard it that’s what I felt and I’m stickin to it ! I truly believe this and of course I could be wrong but it feels dead on .. amazing song -
This song is too serious and as one of the post here, about mortality.
For the recent post, I believe there is no sin that is too sinful that you can't see the people you want to see on the other side. Perhaps you are talking about Heaven and Hell. 2 Corinthians 2:10. 1 John 1:9. John 5:24 KJV The Holy Bible

I wish i could say ill see you on the other side but i know they went some place i can never go . The things in my past can never be forgiven . I know i cant forgive myself for them even after all the years that have past . War does a hell of a number on us I guess . I do hope to see them but i hope its not where i should go but where i wish i could .

LOVE THIS SONG.
I had to pull over driving in North Miami early 2000's 3-4 years sober having f-cked up my life and still getting it back. I was so moved by the nobility and heroism -- plus OO's evocative voice, having been there. -
It's just a song. It maybe and is supposed to be different and same meaning for All listeners. It's your choice whatever you think is best about a song. Enjoy the music. Role Tide!!!

I lost my 3 month old son in 1996 n this song has aways let me know I will see him again, this song brought me comfort in a very dark time, love Ozzy and all his songs but especially this song
-
This could be interpreted without reference to death as well. I'd been seeing someone for a while and we fit like a glove. We've taken a break as she needed space to deal with her past. For me, every time I think of her, I want to sing this to her. I loved the song 20 years ago but it's only now that it has extra meaning in my life

The song is about a person dying and trying to ease the pain loved ones are feeling. By saying its not forever, the crying will stop when I see you on the other side.
