Ozzy Osbourne: Mama I'm Coming Home Meaning
Mama I'm Coming Home Lyrics
Here I come, but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Times gone by seem to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I'm coming home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had...

I believe it has to do with suicidal justification. If your only distraction , from death is the light , the rest of the song fit's perfectly.
-
its pretty much about sharon because ozzy was "coming home" to her after being on tour (no more tours tour, right?). also i love the song great album :3
-
I think he had given up drugs and this song is about saying goodbye to an old friend (drugs) that had lied, betrayed him and tried to kill him. He is coming home clean to his true love.

These guys are well instructed in the occult.Ordinary people like me and you have no clue on the things they are secretively talking about along the lines, subliminally. Mama, I'm Coming Home, in my my best bet, has to do with life cycle, the mountain goddess who have given birth to mankind. As the story goes, we came in through intercourse, we came out in birth. Later on, we grow, we come me back to woman, we want to be back to where everything started: with in Lilith.

I think its about a son who loves his mother she broke his heart with selfish life decissions including lying about them to him which caused him pain and sadness in his life he knows she is still the one person who loves him unconditional and he loves her so hes going home to be there for her even though he feels she should have down better

It was for the drum player. He went home every Christmas and this was his last album before he passed Is what i was told.
This has been mine and my moms song for years alot of it fit us and our situation -
I don't think it really matters what it was written about or whom. This past week my son went off the grid.. nobody talked to him or seen him. I would wake up crying and picturing him wrecked and on the side of a hill. On my way back into to town (5hrs away) this song came on. I imagined him and that we would finally hear from him. I received a call from a officer from my home town, he said we found him, he's ok, he was in a accident, and we believe he was trapped under his car for at least 48 hrs before a woman walking by found him. He was flown out, no broken bones but very confused and dehydrated. He still can't move his legs much days later. When I talked to him he said he prayed to God to take him home to us. This song to me is a sign my son was coming home to us .

Im goin to cross that bridge and go see,my beloved brother someday this song literally drops me to my knees everytime I hear it, and he passed in 09.I cry like a total river everytime no matter where Im at.

My brother going home to our mom after he overdosed on herion.

My guess it’s about getting back with Sharon after a fuck up, like cheating, drugs, or both.
Sounds like he was separated from her but decided to get back with her even though it meant suffering with some unhappiness in the relationship—‘I don’t care about the sunshine, cause mama I’m coming home’
Or maybe I’m projecting my life into the song. -
All wrong written by Lemmy Sharon had fuck all to do with it.
-
The song was released before Sharon’s cancer diagnosis!
-
Losing his mother and Sharons cancer to me is meaning to this song.Lyrics bounce back and forth clearly making this point.
-
I always took it as a son going home after his mother's death- "I can't stand to say goodbye". Talking about the lies she told him how she could have been a better
mother, but he still retreats losing her and thinks of her every day. -
Its a song for his wife. She was going through cancer and that made him get into drinking again because he thought he was going to lose her. He wanted to always be with her because when he first found out about the cancer, he was touring.
