Panic! At The Disco: Sarah Smiles Meaning
Sarah Smiles Lyrics
Waiting for the sky to fall
Then you called and changed it all,
Doll,
Velvet lips and the eyes to pull me in,
We both know you'd already win,
Mm you're original sin.
You fooled me once with your...

I actually think it's a Love/Hate song kind of thing o_o' It can't be all a hate song if he dedicated this to his girlfriend & if he loves her dearly..Maybe sometimes he hates her & sometimes doesn't hate her. But what do I know? I'm on 13 *shrug* Just my opinion on what the song means. ^^

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

i think its about a girl who he is in love ith but she ignores him. She either doesnt know he exists or ignores him on purpose. Hes telling himself that she is just taking her time and she will fall for him soon. He asks if she is saving him from lives of misery together by ignoring him.
-
I agree with Mikalah about the interpretation.
Did anyone else notice that in the acknowledgements in the back of Vices and Virtues that Brandon thanks "Sarah Elizabeth Orzechowski for being an inspiration and smiling when I could not " Yeah, that pretty much explains everything. -
This song was written for Brendon's girlfriend, Sarah. He wrote the song to impress her. And obviously it worked well enough, because she fell for him. ♥♥♥

The first part of this song is about how he met sarah and everything changed. He then says how hes attracted to her and how shes already won him over but this is due to lust so basically a sin. He then says that hes been with her twice the first time for her beauty (eyes) the second time cause she lied to him. The guy then says how sarah is kind of a bitch and doesn't think about anyone but herself "smiling and living in a world unaware" but he still loves her and wants to stay with her "my destiny lies with you" but he asks to ask if she "saving him" or is gonna stay with him. "I don't mind take your time...." this is Sarah leaving him the first time and hes saying how he is gonna continue living his life and not just wait for her to grow up and mature but hes hoping she will. "And its killing me inside..." This is after he got back with sarah after she lied to him about maturing and now hes heartbroken after taking her back and seeing shes not the girl she said she was. Then Sarah leaves him and he mentions how she hurt him by casting away his pride and that shes a bitch with no consideration for anyone but herself. But in the end he still wonders if she could grow up would he be with her.
