Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics
And all you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress
Think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it
When the lights are dim and...

#1 top rated interpretation:Dudes....
This song's about him dating this chick and she banged some other guy and cheated on him and he found out. He got mad... He broke up with her and now he's like, was he worth it? "Then think of what you did and how I hope to god he was worth it" he's asking her if her fling with that guy was worth wrecking their relationship
...Yea -

#2 top rated interpretation:I think that these guy and girl went out, and they were like really close, then broke up - not sure why. anyway so this girl goes out and does another guy, just a one night stand, totally meaningless and a stupid attempt to get over her ex. but by sleeping woth another guy she's totally ended the relationship with the guy she really loves, because he won't have her back once he knows what she's done, even though he knows she still loves him "You know it will always just be me" but now he just thinks she's a slag, and he's determined to let everyone know what he thinks "I hope you didn't expect to get all of the attention" and it doesn't matter how bad she felt after her one night stand "Shock sets in and the stomach acid finds a new way to make be sick" she's totally ruined their chances of ever being together again.

#3 top rated interpretation:Well reality shock fu*ker.. Some people can think for themselves and don't need anyone to tell them what music to listen to. So fu*k you panic! At the disco are awesome!!.. Their lyrics rock and I'm sure your just jealous that you can't be yourself and have people love you like they can.

This is actually Ryan Ross letting off some steam after he discovers his girlfriend of three years is cheating on him. Brendon and the gang were there to support him and help him through it.
-
The concept of the song is that this man was cheated on by his significant other and he's angry at her. He saying that he is the best that he is far better than the man she cheated on him with. He then switches the focus to broaden is audience and ask the listener is they will listen to the consequence of her actions. I feel that when he questions, "Will you dance to this beat and hold a lover close?" he is asking will you take the lesson learned from this experience and remain faithful to you significant other.
-
Brendon literally said the song is about sex.... that is all
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

He Is Talking About A Girl Cheating On Him, Obviously. "Testostorone Boy And Harlequin Girls"
It Means The Boys Are Raging With Hormones, And The Girls Are Fools, Giving Them What They Want.
"You know it will always be just me." She has made a terrible mistake. She had it all, but she threw it away for sex in the backseat of another guys car. -
I feel like this song is about more than just Ryan and his ex-girlfriend. For one thing, the lyrics ask,
"So testosterone boys and harlequin girls,
Will you dance to this beat, and hold a lover close?"
It brings other people into the big picture. For instance, does he suggest that all relationships- be they plutonic or romantic- are far too prone to betrayal? Or does he ask, "Will you testosterone filled boys, and girls with no minds of your own continue to dance to this beat?" "This beat" refering to the betrayal. Will you hold your lover close, instead of the one who loves you, who you claim to love?
I apologize for the AP over-analysis, but really, could this be a statment about a generation, and not just some break-up song? -
I went to P!ATD's concert the other night, and this is basically how he explained the song: "This next song is about f***ing completely random strangers, and all that fun stuff." So, pretty much it's a girl cheating on her signifacant other with someone she doesn't even know. And the title explains how she lies about what she did.
-
The amount of people they've had sex with are represented by fish. And when she follows the trail she picks up the fish (her) because her husband's only love was her (he had only one fish) and so she decides to kill herself because she loved him. They get carried to the ocean and Live Happily Ever After :D
-
if you look at the video.
Every Fish represents every guy she slept with. and if you remember she picked up a fish. which she meant she slept with someone AND while she was dating someone. so the guy kills him self
and so does the girl.
then they go to the sea and thats where fish are set free, and they dont have to worry about anything! -
If you watch the official music video on youtube on Fueledbyramen's channel there is someone who had a great guess, that the Fish in the tanks represents the number of people you've slept with and then the person explained more detailed, I read it and I was like amazed by how that person figured it out.
-
I always figured this song was about two people acting a 'love scene' and the girl is really nervous while the guy has done so many of these type of scenes that its almost second nature while the girl is incredibly apprehensive. The guys is so used to the limelight almost 'diva-ish' while this is the girl's first love scene, I think this makes a little sense when it says'camera man swing the focus' IDK just my take.
-
He's said at 2 of his concerts I was at it's just about people fucking everyone and each other all the time :)

Is it still me that makes you sweat
Am I who you think about in bed
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress
------------------------------------------
This is about a guy and a girl who used to be together, but he caught her cheating. Full of spite, this song was directed at her. He asks her if she misses him at all, or if she feels guilt or remorse before she sleeps with her new lover.
Then think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch your skin
------------------------------------------
More of the same, really. The guy asks her if her new guy was worth destroying what they had. These first two sections seem to show that she slept with the new guy based on surface features or sexual prowess.
I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck
Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me
------------------------------------------
The guy does a bit of bragging here. It appears he is trying to make her feel remorse, by saying how much better he was than the new guy.
Girl I was it, look past the sweat, a better love deserving of
Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat
No, no, no you know it will always just be, me
-------------------------------------------
More of the previous, but the words "a better love" indicate that the girl was into the first guy, not simply based on surface things.
Let's get these teen hearts beating, faster, faster
So testosterone boys and harlequin girls
Will you dance to this beat, and hold a lover close
-------------------------------------------
A harlequin was traditionally a "comic servant," indicating the guy is saying that girls are just jokes.
So I guess we're back to us, oh cameraman, swing the focus
In case I lost my train of thought, where was it that we last left off
(Let's pick up, pick up)
-------------------------------------------
This is a lead-in for the second verse. The first guy is saying "let's go back in time to see what happened"
Oh now I do recall, we just were getting to the part
Where the shock sets in, and the stomach acid finds a new way to make you get sick
-------------------------------------------
This is the first guy describing how the girl felt when she was caught.
I hope you didn't expect that you'd get all of the attention
Now let's not get selfish
Did you really think I’d let you kill this chorus
-------------------------------------------
The is basically saying that, though he is upset, he feels this was just a cry for attention, and it worked a little too well. The guy is over her, thus not letting her kill his chorus. -
Kay well actually at a concert, brendon even said himself..
That this song is about f****** a complete stranger. -
Brendon said this song is about having sex with strangers at the concert at Summerfest 2011.
