Footsteps is the last song in the Momma-Son trilogy. The mother sexually abused the son in Alive, he became violent in Once and Footsteps is the end of his journey, he’s in jail. It is remembering the abuse, blaming the abuser for what he became.

This is part of the mamasan trilogy. It started with "Alive" being about a boy being sexually abused by his mother because he looks like his dead father. In the middle is "Once" after the boy was abused he became disturbed I guess and wanted to take his anger out on other people. So he became a murderer. In "Footsteps" i'm pretty sure Eddie said it takes place in a jail cell,so i'm assuming the boy got caught after killing people.
