    Gabriel wrote this about a combination of things. 1. his nervous break down in 1985 and his familys support that followed. 2. Gabriel sat down to write it after watching a TV special about the Great Depression and 3. the main idea of it is how people deal with failure. This song wasnt supposed to be a duet. Gabriel had to change the words for it to make sense. Kate Bush sings the womans part.
