    At first this song seemed to touch on pollution to me.

    First look at the line "It can't be that cold, the ground is still warm to touch". This sounds like a reference to global warming.

    Next look at the line "They tell you that this rain can sting" which could be a reference to acid rain, caused by pollution spewed out by factories.

    However, upon further investigation on other sites I have seen I was completely off the mark. Red rain is a British term used to reference being overcome by your emotions, and apparently on his Play DVD, PG references Carl Jung the psychoanalyst.

    Having a night terror ''dream'' about being pressed and stuck in a bloody red water feeling that was REMEMBERED in ''REALITY THINKING'' to create the experience and ''vent out the vivid dream'' by making this song called ''RED RAIN'' coming down on him and for us to experience the dream he had.
